Sunday saw the final races at Days Park home of the Gold Coast Kart Club, for the past 33 years. There were 179 entrants and a great turn out of specatators for this historic occasion. The racing was fast and furious and saw some great action in all classes.
One of the best comments I have heard for a long time was when I asked Rod Green what happened in the final when he spun out at the end of the straight. Rod said" I was coming up the straight and realised this is it, this is the final race meet here and by the time i got myself together I missed the breaking point". It goes without saying that the has been a lot of memries made, skin lost and chains broken at Day's Road
See you soon Pete HSP
